Bexley Eco Festival 2022 – The Round-Up!

Updated: Sep 29, 2022

What an amazing day we had at Bexley Eco Festival!

We hope you had as much fun as we did and went home feeling empowered, relaxed and having learned new lots of new skills.

We’d like to thank everyone who dropped by to visit us on Saturday 25th June. We had beautiful weather and a crowd to match!

The event wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our sponsors and helpers who are all passionate about sharing different ways that we can help the environment and ourselves.

We hope you enjoyed seeing Dan from Kitche demonstrating how to reduce food waste and putting together some healthy and delicious food for us with his zero-waste cooking. You can see more of him in action on our Instagram account.

With lots of focus on the cost of living and reducing waste in general at the moment, this demo was something that could benefit everyone

Speaking of delicious… did you see the Smoothie Bike?

What an innovative way to blitz your healthy fruit smoothie! Better for the environment and better for you! We’d love to hear if you had a go.

There were lots of ideas for upcycling. We really enjoyed upcycling our unwanted or old clothes. It looked like everyone had fun getting stuck into updating their t-shirts at the workshop with Vintage Recovery.

They brought some of their pre-reworked and vintage fashion on the day too for people to see what can be achieved as well as enjoy some eco-conscious retail therapy.

Bexley Eco Festival wasn’t just about learning more about the environment.

More than ever, we need to look after our well-being, so it was great to see so many activities focused on health.

Whether playing sports in the MUGA, dancing or drumming there was something on offer for everyone!

For those that just wanted to sit back and chill, there were tasty food stalls and some fabulous local artists. You can see a selection of them on the day here or find out more about them via our Entertainment page.

Huge thanks to the Mayors of Bexley and Greenwich for coming to see us on the big day and all our sponsors who made the event possible!

We hope you had lots of fun, learned a thing or two, and will join us again next time. The planning has already begun so let us know what you’d like to see!

Until then, take care of yourself and take care of this precious planet around us!

From all at Bexley Eco Fest.
